Dopa just mentioned EWU is undefeated vs UC Davis. Did not know that and that's an amazing streak. Wouldn't want to be the team that lost that streak. Seems like we are playing like we have a chance vs #6 team whose only loss was to Cal on the road. We beat UC Davis on the road last year 27-24 when they were ranked #15 and we weren't very good last year. Have a good feeling we pull this off 38-35 if everything goes our way.

Also, EWU never lost to Montana on the red and guessing we've never lost to a non scholarship team especially at home. A year of very bad firsts. I still bought tickets and a tailgate spot for homecoming but I'm not expecting much though.

Statistically this is probably going to be a shoot out. UC Davis QB is 2nd in the nation for passing yards 2,186. they have a great RB in Lan Larison, 12th in the FCS for rush yards and is also their leading receiver. They also have a good receiver in CJ Hutton, 30th in the FCS for receiving yards. EWU's leading rusher Tuna is only 69th (nice) in run yards EWU's secondary is horrible obviously, 116th in passing yards allowed. UC Davis secondary isn't great either at 90th. Their rush defense is significantly better at 25th where as EWU is 98th.

Hopefully our offensive line can dominant again. Sac State was 2nd in rush defense before the game last week EWU put up 289 run yards on them. It may end up being like the Sac State game in that it may come down to a lucky onside kick or turnover. But they're going to be expecting the onside after the last two games. UC Davis beats EWU on turnover margin 4 to 1. The good news is EWU has only give up the ball 2 times but only gained 3 turnovers.

TLDR: Shootout, EWU loses unless we get lucky.

Read a post from Dan Thompson, sports writer for the Spokesman-Review on X on the two deep depth chart for this game. This is interesting on Malik Dotson being out and the true Fr Marceese Yetts listed with Talon Betts as the back ups. Looks like Big Tuna is going to get plenty. If he plays like he did last week, this will be good.

I have been wanting to see Yetts get some reps. I was impressed with high school tape. Quick, hits the hole fast, and shifty. Reminds me of a smaller Quincy Forte.

Does it seem strange Eastern doesn’t have a single receiver on the two-deep taller than 5’11”? Ulm is 6’2”, but hasn’t exactly set the World on fire with his 56 total yards.

What a shame...so Dotson out and besides Tuna we have no RB other than a small true freshman??? And Ulm has been hurt all season it seems....so now what. Need to throw to TE's I guess...we are so weak and don't remember having such a drop off when it comes to bench strength (or lack thereof). Blows me away.

Why not put #5 in the backfield?
