Yeah, Wulff was mentioned also (Dr. Mike would know more about him, too). Money can be a factor. Though UCD has to be offerring more than the current HC salary, I don't know if it's going as far as to more than double it to 400k. The Chancellor's push to upgrade the university's sports hopefully comes with more funding, but it is hard to say how much and when, especially in the current budget climate. Looks like you all came out on top and and are very happy in your recent coaching change, so I hope we can do the same.

Wulff is a Davis High grad, and I know some have been pushing him. I don't think his stint at Washington State left him in a favorable light and EWU is a MUCH different environment in terms of academic/funding than Davis so its not clear his Eagle success would be replicated here.
A year ago, I thought Hawkins was a pipe-dream; now, i think he is gonna be the guy. that's based on conversations with people close to the department, and close to Dan. again, as pointed out, talks might break down over budgets, etc., but, I would bet you a six pack of Rainer Ale that he's gonna be 'the guy'.

If Hawkins is one of the finalists, then that means he has at least a 33.33% chance of being the guy. That would make a lot of supporters happy. Hey, Dr. Mike, if he is the pick, please ask him to put a close look at the strength and conditioning program on his to-do list, as in clean house immediately, and get in his own guy/preferably guyS, to revamp and modernize the program. Just so we don't waste another whole winter working so hard on getting SLOWER.
For maybe the first time ever (??) the Aggies were issued hand-warmers for the game, all shiny and new in the packages. Looks like we had better use those today, and save those for future Big Sky games, like, say, at Wa-Griz when we play them there. Fun in the snow yesterday with snowball fights, but today wil be more serious work in the elements. Note to staff: in upcoming years, schedule EWU there in, say, September?
