UCA 31 vs. Illinios State 24 1st Round UCA IT IS

i don't know which team I would rather have our eags face. ISU improved a lot towards the end of the season and I don't know if I would want to see them in cheney again. on the other hand we don't know how good UCA is really. I think i'd rather see the southern team come to town.

Southern teams haven't had a problem playing in Cheney.

What about Southern teams from Arkansas? :-) Weather forecast for the 3rd is a high of 31. Honestly, believe our D matches up well against either team but prefer UCA for our game. They lack playoff experience and going on the road to the Inferno should be a HUGE advantage for Eastern psychologically. Of course, a quick start from us wouldn't hurt either. Considered travelling to Chattanooga for the Weber game Saturday, but think I will stay home and watch the Redbird/UCA game.

Any Apple cup predictions? @ Pullman may favor the Cougs.

Eastern Washington is the #2 seed, doesn't it seem like they got a tough draw?

SHSU got Weber/Chattanooga & btw Central Arkansas is 9-2. EWU could have to host a 10 win team as the #2 seed. Isn't that odd?

At first blush yes. ISU is playing well and has 2 really good wins. UCA has the talent to beat Sun Belt leading ASU.

Still...it's one of the last teams in or the #2 out of a conference that's rated below the Patriot, Ivy, and OVC in Sagarin.

Does Central Arkansas' win over Ark State demonstrate their strength? Or does it just speak to the incredible softness of the Sun Belt? After seeing Idaho do well in that conference, I'm of the belief that the Sun Belt is just rotten, rotten football. Central Arkansas may very well be better than I think (which basically means better than they looked against Sam Houston State since that's the only game I've seen), but I don't think beating Arkansas State proves much.

Oh you could be right. But giving u 22 schollies is still giving up 22 schollies. It was a good win.

It was an FBS win on the road. We'd take it too. Expect a good game today. Latest Craig Haley article:
