I don't know a lot about this team, other than they are ranked in the top 25 and they are one of the best teams in the PAC12. For us, this game will be a good test of our progress, win or lose. For them, this could well be a trap game. On the surface, it looks like an easy win for them. However, I think that our guys will be scrapping all the way.

I will be there with my wife and brother in law. Anyone else making the trip? How about you, catcat?

I'm not going to get my hopes up. I had a couple of our L's chalked up in September as W's, but so far that hasn't been the case. I thought that Weber would compete but ultimately lose when I first saw UCLA on our schedule. Now, I'm just hoping we don't end up being thumped by the Bruins. I agree though, this could definitely end up being a total trap game for UCLA. They are playing Duke in New York on Friday, I believe and the travel should cause some issues for the Bruins. Also, Weber is playing with a little more gusto and confidence. 71 point victory over a bad team isn't something to chest thump over, but it is a win. Too many missed open 3pt shots. They will start to fall though!! Maybe it starts as early as this Sunday??

I dont care if we lose to UCLA, but I do care if we are embarassed. Make it competetive and I'll be happy

Is anyone else going to the game? I need to get tickets but I will be in L.A. for the weekend. Has anyone had luck hitting up the players or coaching staff for unused tickets at road games?

I was told that the coaches tickets were tapped out. Many of the players friends and family will be attending. Students are out for the holidays. there should be plenty of seats. I say, come one come all. Lets get as many there as we can. It will be warmer than here, a lot of fun, and great for the program. We should all travel to support our team as often as we can. I have a lot more respect for teams that travel well to our house and I always try to thank them for coming. :thumb: :thumb:

Hopefully the Cats will be able to get to Cali with this weather, hate to have ANOTHER game get cancelled due to weather

Watched UCLA/Duke game on ESPN Thursday night. Not UCLA's best game.

Dick Vitale was pumping up the UCLA fans to get out to games, since they are averaging about 5000 per game at home. Weber did get a mention as next game for the Bruins

Olds, please take catcat with you!!

By the way weberhoops has really been updated well lately.

The website broke after we lost to uvu. Sort of like the y2k thing except this is real. If u enter an L in the loss column vs uvu it crashes the webserver.

Can't wait for the gm tomorrow. I think they are going to play well. Hopefully we can keep the sharing of the ball going from the last gm. Did anyone else see Berry's stat line? Great #s 16p,8a,6r. Someone close to him pls whisper in his ear don't try to be Dame be Davion and we will be just as good as that team bc we have more scorer then Dame did with all the injuries that yr. If Davion puts up those kinds of #s we will run away with the BSC and he will be MVP. I guarntee it.

Any Weber fans in Chicago? I am watching the game tomorrow at Joe's bar which is supposed to be the host of a UCLA alumni & fans group if anyone wants to join.

WEber nation!

It's gameday. Wish I could feel excited and hopeful for an upset. I'll settle for not embarrassing ourselves.

Liking how we look so far. Hit a couple of those open shots and the Cats will back in this thing. The Bruins have hit some fairly ridiculous shots too.

Well, at halftime, it's not quite as bad as I thought it could be. It would make a big difference if Tres could stay in the game-- Hill and Bolomboy just not as capable, especially defensively. Nice defensive adjustment by Rahe, although it came a little late.

Offensively, they started out nice but between the 15 & 5 minute marks, it was a little frustrating. I guess you can kinda say they were forced to take more 3's but they HAVE to have more options, especially when shooting under 20%. They're Getting out-rebounded again and cannot continue to get out-assisted so badly each game.

I really liked what I was seeing with Senglin, Gittens, Hil, Bolomboy, and Berry on the floor there towards the end of the half; it gives a lot of hope for the coming years. Gittens was really showing us something, I loved the leadership I saw at a timeout too. If they just share the ball better, keep their composure, and shoot better, they could end up making this a game.

Or not. Not sure why Weber completely fell apart as the pac12 network experienced technical difficulties when the led was cut to 9. Oh well, I'd just as soon not see Weber get run off the floor.
