UFL team to Sac State

SS I agree, but I don't think that by not making a formal announcement about the new Field Turf is going to hide the tractors and other equipment needed on site to install the stuff. People are going to want to know what is going on, so why not just tell them.

My two cents is that the S is okay, I love the old SAC though...loved them on the back of the helmets for the Davis game. I hope they keep them there like the V on Fresno's.

Anyone think about the fact that we might get to see some old Hornets playing for our UFL team on their old field? Cyrus, Fred Otis...perhaps Charles (doubt it since he gets paid more up north)? Could be kinda fun.

Unless you've heard something I haven't, Chuck has been out of a job for quite a while since BC cut him. I haven't heard of anyone picking him up. So the odds of him back in Hornet Town would be pretty good, I would think.

There better be an Hornet "S" and the team better be green and old. Otherwise, o'well, the Hornet colors is all I will be wearing at any HORNET STADIUM GAME, FOREVER!

A local TV station, I think it was Channel 3, reported that the new UFL team donated $500,000 towards the new turf at Sac State.

And then yesterday on the Kozimor radio sports show, Koz interviewed the UFL Commissioner Huyghue. Huyghue said they were taking into account the large high school football following our area has and they plan to play games on Thursday and Saturday nights to avoid any conflict with the high school games, plus they want those fans attending their games.
 
Otis Amey announced on his Facebook page today that he signed with the new Sac UFL team. Here it is:


Fred Otis Amey is signing with the Sacramento UFL team, so I guess I'll be a Hornet again b/c we're playing @ Sac State. To Be Continued...

i too saw that fred signed with the new sac team. Cyrus is currently planning in some sort of small arena organization. I dont know exactly what it is but when speaking with him he said its an opportunity to play and get some experience which is what he says has been the only real reason why he hasnt gotten any opportunities. He aslo said he would like for his agent to be in contact with the ufl organization but agian said experience would help. also a local player in the area tyronne gross who played with the chargers hopes to get back to the area but the new york organization currently holds his rights

Did you get your confirmation from the UFL that you were in the running?

No I didnt, but I did submit the names within the first couple of hours the contest began. I hope one of the two of wins :)
