Game one. Competitive loss. More of the same. Hang around and lose late.

Eastern needs to win a couple of these tough early games. We can’t go out and learn to be hard-nosed losers. Gotta get over the hump. The effort is there.

They were also missing Tavi Jackson, Cook, and Alan Gballou. Not sure on the status of the three or what’s going on. All I know is Cook has an injured hand.

They looked pretty decent for most the game but had moments that were just terrible. Stanford took advantage of those moments.

I was flipping back and forth between the Hawks and bball. Then just finished the EWU game when I couldn’t bare to watch the Hawks no creativity boring offense any more.

Next up is Oregon and the Grizz hung in there for awhile before OU pulled away last night.

There were parts of the game where we played really well. Particularly early in the 1st half, the defense and rebounding were very strong. The 19-2 run Stanford went on to close the distance at the end of the half really did us in. Still, we had our shots...I think the biggest difference is the number of points Stanford got over TOs when the margin was pretty similar. Not a bad showing...would have been nice to have those 3 who missed the game, but the guys who filled in did alright. Hamilton is a beast.
