Watching the game now... UNC's facility actually shows really well on TV. Its only about 3,200 Cap. I think, but looks larger, modern, and clean.

No reason SAC shouldn't have a facility like this. PUH-LEASE!!!

Though the volleyball lines are a little distracting...

We could totally renoate the North Gym to look like that, and we wouldn't have the building footprint issues there as we have with The Nest: i.e. Solano Hall.

Or new facilities for Hornet basketball can be done right without the corner cutting. The Kings cut some corners for their facilities and look where that got them. I will agree that anything is better than what we have now.

At this point, I don't know that I would consider a renovated nest cutting corners... Of course I'm holding out hope for a new arena with some luxury boxes and about 8,000 seats, but I'd take 4,000 and a complete renovation at this point.

Seeing those comfy seats, people hitting up the beer garden (I know this is a CSU rule), right on top of the action, it made me jealous!

Kadeezy is correct in his observation! I went to the Sac/No. Colorado game last year in Greeley. I was blown away by the students/fans walking around with a cold Coors Light in their hands . They have a booster section near one of the baselines that looked like a beer garden. Seemed like everybody in town came out to the game. It was awesome! Too bad California doesn't allow beer at the games.

Not all of California, just on-campus CSU athletic facilities.
