UM-Western (NAIA) at #1 EWU Game Thread

Having video troubles on America one? Remove GoPhoto and Genio, then restart browser. Worked for us, hope it helps.

We seem to be sleep walking through this game. I thought the OLine looked great last game but so far we don't seem to be able to run the ball at all.

I knew he was gone as soon as he caught that. I know we are going to score a ton of points on these guys, but what I really want to see is some defensive improvement. No garbage TD's in this game - I want to see a shutout, whatever the final score ends up being.

Would like to know how an NAIA team is able to run the ball straight up the gut on us for big yardage.
We've got a ton of younger players in there right now. I wanted a shutout, but I wouldn't read too much into this game. It's good that our younger guys are getting the reps. I imagine we'll see West in the 2nd half.

He was standing out of bounds when it happened. Kind of frustrated with these slow developing runs to the outside. Run the ball up the middle.

Fumbles, strips, poor exchanges from the Center to the QB and all around sloppy play. This ain't gunna cut it next weekend. It's like watching a bad scrimmage.

Emotional letdown after finally beating SHSU? Game's over. Next.
Game was U-G-L-Y. I'm hoping it's a by product of so may players sitting out, but again, the defense didn't look very good, even against NAIA competition.

I think the best part of the entire game was that long run by Hecker where he hurdled two defenders. Trying not to read too much into this game. Ultimately, I think we'll see a different team next Saturday.

Serious tongue in cheek here, but maybe glad to be facing UW instead of Hawaii next week  Have never seen Petersen so put out like he was last night in Hawaii.

So what happened in that UW game, they barely won.

Hard time gaining any sort of traction?

I suspect we'll be hanging 40+ points next week.

My wife said she saw his run on the sports report this morning (Sunday) on KOMO 4 news here in Seattle!
