Unbelievable...

Coach Kramer HIRE A REAL SPECIAL TEAMS COACH. Unacceptable to lose a game that way for crying out loud. Get a kicker and punter on full F***ing scholarship. Should have been an easy kick to win the game.

Heart Breaker. Unbelievable!

Long snapper is part of special teams. Also that extra point was missed was pretty big unacceptable to miss extra points. That play exemplifies our whole season special teams sucks and kills us.

Tell Kramer to get a punter/ kicker on full scholarship. Will not happen as he does not believe in that.

He might just want to rethink that strategy after season. Poor knockoffs leading to good field position for the other teams. Poor punting leading to good field position as well. Sad kicking game in that we can even make extra points or field goal longer than 25 yards.

Defense played great!
Defense gave the offense tons of opportunities to score.
QB play still stinks. Magnum was open all day!
23-49 and 3 int's won't get the job done.
All 3 int's were costly.
I thought the play calling was better today.
Special teams still needs a lot of work.

I suspect the Big Sky will come out and apologize for the officials blowing the call in OT.
The officials including the replay official should have next week off, without pay.

This

The sad part is his ego won't let him change. ISU is a kickers dream and we suck. Our special teams is terrible and it cost us games including this one. ISU was the best team on the field tonight minus special teams. Plus, we got lucky and had a 101 yard TD called back. HELLO!!! Mr. Kramer

Heart-breaking loss. While I share the frustration over lack of attention/emphasis given to special teams, I still feel terrible for our snapper. During the TO he ran over to the sideline to practice and stay warm and launched 4-5 bullets right on the money. Not sure what happened live, but I'm sure he's devastated.

The team had many chances to fold up but battled back and played their hearts out. I admire their resilience. They deserved this one.

I'm reminded of the simple life lesson so many of us were taught growing up: You get what you pay for.

If you're not going to invest in special teams by recruiting and offering scholarships to capable players such as a punter, then you're going to get what you paid for.

Not sure if that worked, but if you can see it, the guy is clearly down. He also lateraled the ball forward so Big Sky Officials missed two calls on this one. Amazingly in my 12 years at ISU, Montana never once got the benefit of a call or a break like this, so I suppose they were due. Oh wait, my bad...they got every call.

The sad part is we still blindly support a coaching staff that isn't preparing its team in all three aspects of the game. If Kramer & Co. do not want to spend time, money, and energy on special teams, then game plan as you practice. Don't kick. Perhaps our coaching staff should look at Coach Kevin Kelley from Pulaski Academy in Arkansas who never punts or kicks off. It his philosophy. Otherwise, our coaching staff is doing a great injustice to our players, our program, and our school.

I strongly believe Kramer got this program in the right direction. Better athletes, more competitive games, higher APR scores, etc., but there is a serious lack preparation and game planning that one would expect from coaching staffs at this level. There are many great division 2 coaches or FCS coordinators who would jump at the chance to coach here who could build on what Kramer did and take it to the next level (i.e. playoffs).

If the last few games continue to show this lack of preparation and game planning, then I think Tingey needs to seriously look at the the future of this staff.

After play review the officials awarded the touchdown to Montana after the high snap because Gueller never had possession of the football when he tried to recover the live football and the Montana player that jumped on the football with Gueller never had possession of the football when his knee hit the ground. The ball was tossed into the air by the Montana player while his knee was off the ground while never having complete possession so the football was considered still live so no forward lateral as he had no complete possession. The officials would have overturned the touchdown after review if they thought Gueller or the Montana player had possession of the football while their knees were on the ground or saw the Montana player as having possession of the ball when he tossed the ball into the air as that would have been a forward lateral. After review the officials saw the ball as live without possession of the football so they awarded the touchdown to the Montana player that caught the live football and ran it into the endzone.
