UNC will welcome WAC member New Mexico State to Greeley for a 3 game series Thursday-Saturday. New Mexico State comes in with 30-20 record (18-6 in the WAC, 2nd place). The Aggies have won 5 straight games.

The Bears enter the series with a 15-30 record (10-10 in the WAC, 5th place). UNC will need just one more win or one loss by CSU Bakersfield to assure their place in the WAC tournament next week. UNC had a tough week this past week. Their 7 game winning streak was snapped by Air Force with a 9-5 loss. The Bears were then swept by WAC #1 team Seattle by scores of 10-3, 4-2, and 8-1. UNC finished their road trip against the Washington University Huskies with a tough 4-2 loss.

The Bears still have a chance to match or beat last season's final regular season record of 16-32 (12-14 in the WAC).

The Bears clinched 5th place in the WAC with a win in Saturday's season finale. UNC downed New Mexico State 6-3. On Friday the Bears came back from a 15-5 deficit but still narrowly lost to NWS by a final of 18-16. Thursday's game was not close with the Bears falling 10-3 to the Aggies.

UNC fnishes the season at 16-32, 11-12 in the WAC and will face Sacremento State (29-26, 16-11 WAC) in the WAC tournament on Wednesday at 4.
