6'10" forward Jeremy Verhagen signs with UNC today. Jeremy will red shirt his first year as he needs to put some weight on his thin frame. With a smooth stroke that extends well beyond the three point line, Jeremy should be able to assist the Bears with getting back to the dance in the coming years. Coming from a small school in Florence Arizona, Jeremy has a tremendous potential for growth and will fit in well with the team. Jeremy led all divisions in 2012-2013 in the state of Arizona in blocks and rebounds.

His high school numbers border on absurd... like 18 points, 14 rebounds, 7 blocks per game. Hope he can really develop physically and become a good player for the Bears.

If you check out his video at this site http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zPaVgQjWeU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you will notice that he dominates the court, but that might change when he gets to the college level. It looks like he was considered to be one of the top 4 or 5 centers in the state of Arizona from his class last year so he could become a great addition to the program. Nice to get a good recruit.
