UNC vs. Sac State

On the surface this looks like an early must win game. It's a team they should beat at home if they want to make a little noise in the Big Sky this season.

Sac State is 2-8 and 0-6 on the road. Their 2 wins are agaisnt two teams I have never heard of (Simpson University and William Jessup). They were fairly close in losses to Southern Utah, Pacific and Santa Clara. They have also played some big named temas such as Stanford, Kansas State, Marquette and Oregon. It's hard to tell if they learned much from getting pounded by those teams.

Hopefully the Bears can come out like they did agaisnt CSU and dominate the boards and pressure them on defense. If they do, they should be able to win without giving anyone in Butler Hancock a heart attack.

Troy, you may be the only one at the game being the holidays and all. You may need to do a bit of cheering as well.

Yeah I agree they need this win to set a tempo going into conference play. It's just so hard to tell how they might come out after such a long break and in the midst of a losing streak. Hopefully they come out fresh and uptempo and not lethargic.

Close game close to half time. The KFKA online feed switched over to the Women's game (Troy mentioned it would do that). Not sure why. Off to look for a Sac State feed.

Listening to the Away feed is pretty funny. When Taibi hit a 3 to put UNC up 13 "Taibi puts it up for three, OH NOooo, UNC with a 13 point lead". Also had a funny little story about just making it to the gym 45 minutes before tip because he got stuck in his Kia, the only car available at the rental car company.

To be honest, it sounds like a lonely job on the road by yourself.

Nice win for the Bears. Sounds like they rebounded well and made a few good runs with some real solid shooting. Good way to start the Big Sky season.

Just looked at the Big Sky website and we are number 1 in the conference again for now. I don't expect to finish there but that sure is nice to see.

This is the problem of having only one radio station at our disposal We either have to go that route, and not tape delay the women's game, or tape delay the women's game and anger people who want to listen to it live.

Yeah, I have a major issue with the Big Sky's scheduling of the mens and womens games on Thursday nights, specifically. I am working on a possible answer with the tech guys at the University, so please be patient.
