I know its frustrating to watch the players be out for so long with injuries, but we've also seen Brandon, OG, and Parker Kelly all play through injuries this season.

I'd be very hesitant to cry foul on the athletic trainers without specific information on each actual injury. It would be more revealing if you could take a look at the length of time a player missed for each program with similar injuries along with the rate of re-occurrence as well as overall health related to that injury farther down the line.

With regards to Venky, I am glad the team is still winning (3-1 without him) and getting a lot of valuable experience for our bench players in the mean time.

I think Bogdan, Moon, and Reid have done a really good job in Venky's absence. And we've even seen from productive minutes from big Fred, albeit a little limited. So no doubt this has been a valuable experience for the bench. But Jois' return is going to be critical to knocking out Sac State and sweeping the rest of the field, so I really hope he is going to be back soon.

I still think that Eastern is a far better team than Sac, and had Jois played in that game it would have either been much closer or an EWU win. With Jois, we will beat them at home. He does so much for us defensively.

True 'nuff. Eastern plays really well with or without Jois. I'd still rather him be available...

I've now watched all of the Big Sky contenders, and I'm thinking this will come down to Eastern and Sac State. I really don't think Montana will be in the mix unless one of the top 2 gets beat up or just completely loses form.

So it never even occurred to me to look for a basketball forum on here. I feel like such an idiot lol. Went to the UND game on Saturday and had an absolute blast. It was kind of a rough first half but they flat dominated the second half. Great to see Harvey and Miljkovic go off after half. And talk about a breakout game for Bliznyuk. He's been coming on lately, but it really seems like he's starting to put it all together. That kid is going to be a force in this conference for a long time. Given what I've seen from this team this year, I feel like this is only the beginning and the best basketball is still ahead of this team. It's a great time to be an Eagle!

Glad you came over to check it out! Right now is a great time to be an Eagle and a great time to obsessively talk Eagle Hoops!

My favorite part of the UND game, in fairness I had to watch Sunday morning instead of live, was the way the Eagles put UND into foul trouble early and often. It really opened things up for them in the second half. I think they ended up hitting like 75%+ of their shots in the second because UND couldn't play tight defense for risk of fouling out! (four starters finished with 4 fouls, everyone else that played had 2)
