I am here to spread the word on recruits who could play D1 ball but have no offers as of yet.
Brian Dahl OL-DL Gresham 6'1 280.
Dahl of Gresham played fullback as a freshman, then out of nowhere became the starting tackle for Gresham. As a sophomore named 2nd team all conference in 2012 while starting all 10 games. Started 7 games( missed 4) as a Junior and was still named all conference yet again as well as being named an all state underclassmen. averaged around 6 pancakes per game and only allowed a single sack. Rated top 50 player in OR/WA by NW prep Report. 3.6 GPA kid with a 330 bench press, 515 squat, 250 power clean, 5.25 40, and a 4.8 shuttle proves Dahl has the strength and speed but his lack of height may be the only thing to prevent him from an offer, too bad they can't measure heart.Interest from Montana, Wyoming, Cornell, Arizona, Nebraska, Northern Arizona, Puget Sound, St. Johns-Minnesota.http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2146767/brian-dahl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Willam Allen TE-DL Barlow 6'3 270
Allen was a kid who swung to varsity as a freshman. This man child became the two-way starter for his team as a sophomore and was named a second team all conference player at both tight end and Defensive line.His junior season he became the leader of the team and was named a first team all conference tight end and second team all conference defensive end. Allen has been picking up interest from schools like Portland State, EWU, Boise State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. He may be the fastest big man in the state posting a 4.9 40 and a 4.6 shuttle run. A 3.0+ kid who is no stranger to the weight room. 300 bench press, 500 squat, 250 power clean. 20 sacks on defense and 11 touchdowns on offense over two seasons.http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2147002/highlights/94560392" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Jacob Keim C-DL Reynolds 6'0 245.
A kid coached by former all Pac-10 Beaver lineman Dustin Jantz. Keim is maybe the most technically sound centers in the state. After swinging as a freshman and starting as a sophomore, Keim was named all conference. Keim will come into his senior year as the leader of the line. Keim's lifts in the weight room may be deceiving... 245 bench press, and a 300 squat. This goes to show how good his technique is and that he still has much room to improve on strengths. Despite taking AP classes he manages to still boast a good GPA of a 3.5. Little is known on his recruitment yet but he is easily a top 5 center in the state of Oregon.http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2092740/jacob-keim" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nathan Mumford WR-DB Portland Christian 5'11 175
Mumford is the best player in 2A as he was named first team all state both ways as both a sophomore and a junior. He has been hitting the weight room hard and is excited to improve on his 190 pound bench and 260 squat. But Nathan has the speed with a 4.6 40 and a 4.3 shuttle. The main reason he is under recruited is because of the lack of competition at the 2A level. If I were a recruiter I would just look at how much potential this kid has. Will be the lead candidate for the states Offensive and Defensive player of the year at the 2A level, and could be a dark horse candidate for the Oregon Gatorade POTY.http://www.hudl.com/athlete/670658/nathan-mumford" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thank you for reading this! I will be back soon with some more deserving student-athletes. Hopefully PSU will offer some our local boys?!
