Nah, we're too broke for that. A new uniform set costs around 10k, and they need to be replaced every 2-3 years at most. We're probably auctioning off our old reds or maybe some blacks since we changed the style.

im not certain, but i wouldn't be surprised if you could bid via proxy. I believe proceeds go to football directly.

Before Mike and Kat Roos made the incredible gift that resulted in our beautiful Red Turf, they bought new uniforms for our guys at a cost of around $12K. It is so cool to see Marc Hughes, Bill Chaves, Troy Kirby and the rest of the folks in Athletics leverage our success with this auction. It only works if people pull out their checkbooks and VISA's and support our football program. Hopefully this will spread to our other sports too. Our school colors are exceptional and our Eagle logo is obviously very cool.
Isn't it funny how the haters on campus who've spent decades bashing our Athletic program aren't heard from much anymore? They would never admit they were wrong about taking EWU to Division 1 status and the battle is far from over but remember-money talks. Help keep these critics silent-support your athletic program with your dollars and by attending games. It is also time to recruit folks for the 2012 EAA Fund Drive. Couldn't agree more. It's taken a long time, but Eastern is only now starting realize it's potential as a legit Division I school. 27 years in the making.......and that's not to take away from the amazing folks that have come before. They helped pave the way. Eagles past, present, and future. :nod:

After reading his anti-football manifesto, it sure seemed like he just hated the fact that football had black players. God, that guy was a tool. I called the athletic dept today about the auction and camo shirts. They are auctioning off the game worn jerseys that our team will be wearing on Saturday. Some of the jerseys will be available during the game for the players that will not be suiting up. The game worn jerseys won't be availble to pick up until the volleyball match Saturday night that follows the football game or next week in the athletic department. The Equipment staff needs time to gather the jerseys after the game. That tells me that they definitely are not too old of jerseys. I've heard they might actually be a special one of kind jersey for military appreciation day! Would be sweet. The camo t-shirts will be sold behind the pressbox for $20. They look sweet. They only have 500 of the shirts. If there are any left after the game, they said fans can call the athletic department on Monday.

I heard a rumor several months ago about camo jerseys. Be interesting to see if they are red, green, black.
