Up by 10,3 min left,ISU one of the worst teams in America

I was going to refrain but I just can't do it.

1. DON"T LET ME GO TO POCATELLO! The years I go we lose and generally lose really close ones at that.

2. I felt like Joel was out of sorts. Maybe a little too caught up in the making history thing, maybe was getting the hell beat out of him when he trying to get position.

3. I hate the prevent offense. We get a decent lead in the second half and then we quit running the offense that got us there and start that stagnant crap that results in a desperation 3 at the buzzer. I have noticed that Verlin and Duryea do the same thing, so it might be a Stew thing. Does anyone know what the prevent offense flashcard combination looks like? We need to make it go missing.

4. I understand that it is one road game. But this was our 5th game that we have lost that we should have won. We made many of the same mistakes that we made in the losses to UVU and Denver. Our coaching staff needs to show some progress.

5. No one should take time off from the forum

Wow...there are a lot of post lately about getting mad and threatening to take your ball home unless everyone plays the way you want them to. Weird...

I really appreciate all the posts on the forum. Like I said the other day...some I agree with, some I don't, but each provide entertainment. Like Pirate said, we are the ultimate fans of Weber State, even if Athletic Administrators like to bemoan our existence. For them, it seems like, "Hell, I hate that we have fans who care!" LOL I'm still a fan of Jerry and consider him a friend just like to make him raise his eyebrows sometimes. Keeps him on his feet. but, to the point...it is what it is. We are passionate fans and it is good for the department and programs to have us. I want a lot more posting! So stick around. In life, does everyone always agree with you? If you can handle a No, they don't take your ball and run, stick around and contribute.

As for the game...

1. I'll say it again. The refs were fine till the last 5 min. Then it became the ISU free-throw show. Weird that a team trying to come back and playing aggressively gets to the line more that the team with the lead. That is a rare turn of events. No matter, it happened. Why? Well...Big Sky Refs are terrible (two instances where Telfair should have been whistled for offensive fouls weren't...that gave them 5 points that shouldn't have happened. LIFE ON THE ROAD). They will call fouls just about every single time a player drives to the rim. ISU did that and we...well, sat on the ball and didn't try to get to the hoop. We settled for long three or bad passes.

2. As for sitting on the ball...UGH!! Like we haven't seen this show before. This happens to Rahe a lot. Why? He doesn't attack a zone, can't break a press, has to show the idiot cards, and finally won't change his defense. He isn't a strategist. He is a good coach. I'm glad he is in Ogden and at Weber; MOST OF THE TIME. But he doesn't like to change. He is a creature of comfort and it hurts us at times. If he goes into a zone at the end. You force ISU out to the arch. Take up time, and limit their ability to drive. Nope...Rahe stays playing man. Telfair gets open by a high screen that couldn't have happened if We are playing a 3-2, 1-3-1, or Box and 1. If anything, it makes him take a longer shot or pass up the ball.

3. Senglin missing freebies at the end. Second time this season and that cost us the game. He wants to be the leader and wants the ball in his hands at the end of games. If so, then you need to make your freebies, take care of the ball (DON'T TURN IT OVER), be under-control, and use the other 4 guys on the floor.

4. Did I mention the lack of attacking the zone, beating a press, getting rid of the cards?
