Some things of note as we get the season underway tonight with the Coaches Show...

The Coaches Show segments will be available on the 1310 KFKA website by midday tomorrow (1310kfka.com). Look for the "Audio on Demand" link at the top of the page, and you'll see one for UNC Sports listed.

There is a weekly trivia contest that starts tonight...I'll ask a question each Monday night, and the answers should be emailed to [email protected]. We'll draw one correct entry and announce the winner during the game broadcast Saturday. Thanks to Palomino Mexican Restaurant for again hosting the Coaches Show & giving away a $20 gift card each week to the trivia winner. If you don't hear the question, you will be able to find it on our website under "Shows" and "Sports". It will also be available on the station's Facebook page...just do a search on FB for NewsTalk 1310 KFKA.

I'm sure I'll think of a few more things as we get closer to Saturday, but my mind has too many "needs" rattling around for this week's preparation...

Went to the KFKA website, clicked on "audio on demand" then UNC coaches show 08-29-11, then "listen" and this is what I got:

One great thing about the Lindenwood game was the kfka radio team. The guy that did the color was really good and it seemed like he and Troy had worked together for years. Good job guys.

KEPN/ESPN 1600 in Denver will carry this weekend's broadcast, beginning at 11:05 MT. Denver listeners, this gives you another avenue to listen to the game, and please feel free to let folks at The Fan & ESPN 1600 that you appreciate it.

We're working on adding more broadcasts, but with the Bugeaters' boosters paying to carry their games, we have to work around that schedule.

Troy, listening to the coaches show on my iphone and I noticed that during the games and the coaches show it shows the 1310 KFKA News Talk logo then the show is called "Butler vs Connecticut". Not sure if this is just a March Madness holdover or not but it seems to be listed whenever the Bears are on.
