Well...Christmas is coming early! A lot of us have wanted to see a Weber vs. USU game later in the season and here is our chance. It has been a few years since they two teams tangled in a late December match up. Due to the late scheduling of the game, will the overall result be different? Who knows...there have been a number of claims, from both fan bases, that a later game would have given Weber a better chance of winning. We all know that Randy's teams tend to mesh more as the season goes on and start playing better ball by the middle of December. His teams need a WTF game or two to get their motors running.
Personally, these past few years, I've enjoyed playing USU to start the season. It has helped to get people interested in basketball right off the bat and to set the pace for the season. However, is it detrimental to the Cats success playing the Aggies early? Some speculate that if we got the Aggies later, that we would have a better chance at winning. I don't know about that...it just seems that USU has had our number lately and getting a win against an instate team that isn't UVU or SUU has been really difficult for the Wildcats. Last win in Logan was in 93. Do the Cats end the streak on Wednesday?
