Well...I'll be honest, I know very little about Utah Valley. I know they have a handful of local guys playing for them and making a decent impact. Marcel Davis, Konnor Frey, and Jaden Jackson (three guys who had stellar high school careers in Utah) playing I believe the 1, 2, and 3. Both Davis and Frey played in Logan once upon a time and Jackson came from SLCC.
UVU has a couple of other guys playing for them who should be somewhat familiar to Weber State fans. Hayden Schenck from Weber High, by the way of SLCC, is playing for the Wolverines. Tyler Ott who was, prior to his mission, a Weber State recruit is in Orem. We passed on him and he ended up at UC Davis for a season and now is in Orem. I just noticed that Christian Musoko has committed to play in Orem next year. I thought he spent a season at Central Arkansas, but I think he left before playing a game and enrolled at SLCC last year. It shows that he is currently a sophomore in Salt Lake.
UVU has lost to two other conference mates, SUU came from behind and beat them on Saturday and Montana State beat them a couple of weeks ago. Both games were played in Orem. Also, UVU lost to BYU by 31 to start the season and last week lost to USU, in Logan, by 26. They did beat Antelope by 44 (104-60). Personally, I don't take anything for granite, especially when playing in Utah County, but I think the Cats have a decent shot at ending the curse.
