The whole first half with no one but Bolomboy making shots I want to see either Jefferson or Richardson to at least see if they have some rhythm. I hate Rahe's short bench. There are guys at the end of it that I believe in. Too bad their coach doesn't believe in them. Heaven forbid we put a couple of shooters in to see what they can do.

And in OT against a very short team nothing goes to the post?

What a joke. No excuse for that loss. Completely on Rahe. This is getting really old.

Wow, just wow

Worst display of college basketball I have EVER seen by a Weber State team, I am beyond myself right now. UVU had no size in either overtime and NOT ONCE did we try to exploit that. Free throws, why can we never make clutch free throws ??? Our opposition always makes theirs! What happened to the team that played in Florida? Can you imagine what this game would have been like without Bolomboy???

Weber let a depleted UVU scrub team beat their starters. It's shameful.

I'm a grown man and I was almost brought to tears, because I was so embarrassed to being a Weber State fan tonight. I hate this feeling. I hate that there is no passion or drive in athletics. I am so frustrated an disgusted right now. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. Rahe should lose money. Any man of honor would give a portion of his salary back because of a loss like this. He is over paid and losses like this cannot be tolerated. Man up Jerry and tell him to pay back the university that he has dishonored and insulted tonight.

I didn't see the game. Can someone tell me the nature of Jeremy's turn overs and Zack's fouls? Those two things seem to have been pivotal in this game, along with the poor shooting. What was UVU doing defensively to create those turn overs? What were they doing to get that many fouls called? I noticed that one of our favorite refs was officiating; buz cut was in the house.

there is no answer to provide you that is a valid excuse. they had 0 D1 wins with RPI #347.

I'm not looking for any excuses. I'm just wondering if it was similar to the BYU game where they were forcing the double team on him when we would set a ball screen. I was just wondering if UVU picked up on that and took advantage of Jeremy's inability to deal with it. Also, I was wondering if the fouls on Zack were hands or arm bar situations where he just doesn't pull off fast enough. Those are two very correctible things, if the staff will just get to work on it.

I just don't like to see us make the same mistakes, game after game. :coffee:

We did shoot 33% for the game and turned the ball over 19 times. I don't care how bad the refs might have been (we did shoot more freebies, of course missing 11 for a grand total of 26-37) they aren't the reason behind Weber losing. How do you lose after out rebounding a team by 20 (62-42), grabbing 11 more offensive boards 19-8, and having a guy put up 28pts and grab 20 rebounds (granted that guy should have been in the paint more than roaming around the 3 point line...why not put two guys down low??)? Ugh!! this has got to be the most frustrating and embarrassing loss in the history of this program.

A point to be made about attendance...& the importance of instate games...those posters who put down Weber State's home attendance & say how UVU is gaining so much momentum of support & progress in things comparatively...both being arguably "commuter colleges"...under 3K show up in Orem for the "big instate game", yet there is almost 9K at the Aggie game in the DEE! Granted, the UVU game was a Wednesday night, but rarely do the Wolverines get over 4K to a home game.

My point is, Coach Rahe had better get it that instate games are VERY IMPORTANT to fans & going 0-for-? any length of time is UNACCEPTABLE!

Also, 'Back2WSU' makes a good argument that marketing can accomplish only so much at commuter schools.

Any marketing aimed at gaining paying customers or generating student support would be a plus, I can't say that it's very apparent to identify either. As long as I can remember Weber's been considered a commuter school so I'm not really sure how that applies to differences in attendance. In fact, I'd argue that there are slightly more traditional students than in years past.
