As someone who has gone through it I have a ton of respect for the work the players put in but most of these guys wouldn’t cut it when compared to the squads we used to have and the guys I used to play with. Not sure who recruits who nowadays but they aren’t getting the talent that needs to be brought in to uphold the standard and euro players (bigs in particular) just aren’t the vibe. I hate to keep referring back to one guy but raw talent can only get you so far, you have to have a feel for the game, Joel had that, but this boy doesn’t. Right now the kid is a dominant NAIA player at best and if you look at the stats it’s a proven fact. In the end one guy is not the issue, it’s a collection of many factors.

I don’t think the problem is the players. I believe it’s the wrong coaches running the wrong system. The talent the last 4 years hasn’t been bad, it’s a Head coach that doesn’t have a strategy. I follow ex Wildcats playing All over the world. They seem to be doing very well! This program is going in the wrong direction because we have coaches who are taking us down the wrong path. Getting tired of seeing all the three pointers! Like to see us go back to team ball.

Thoroughly agree!! Randy is a good coach, but he can only take the team so far. I have known a lot of players who have played for Randy and most always say the same things about Randy. That he is a good coach, but some of his assistants are not the best. One player told me that he couldn't believe that Coach Rahe let Smiley leave when he should have been promoted. But, who needs bigs when all you do is chuck 3's?

Take a second, look at Weber’s number of assist against D1 teams and it clearly shows how selfish guard play has been. YTD this team has 100 assist overall ..... they had 27 against West Coast Baptist. The chucker title is legit! Players need to be put in a position to win. Rahe and Duft have shown the ability to recruit, but struggle with the X and O’s. Our guards are only trying to score. Distributing the ball is an after thought! That’s 100% a coaching issue!
