After winning two easy exhibition games (Seattle Pacific and Corban), UW's first game of the season against Portland State turned out to be anything but. Thery had hopes for the redshirt sophomore Rogers at center, but she got into foul trouble very early on and never was a factor. UW is in its second year of rebuilding and it's clearly not there yet. We chose the right Pac-10 to go up against. It looks like Valentine and Bishop are going top fill in nicely for Kahle, and Faucher will be - Faucher. As a bonus, we've got Lampman, a freshman out of nowhere. Well, she was pretty good last year in high school. One thing sure: no Major is going to take us for granted.
Agree that it was a crazy game but thankfully the girls kept battling and were able to over come that deficit in the final 4 minutes. This game reminded me of our big comeback win at home against Gonzaga in 2007.
Great win VIKS...now let's beat WOU and stay unbeaten!
