What a coincidence!
I was REALLY happy for AV yesterday. After 5 years of practicing, and spring training, and fall camps, and going to games he finally get some meaningful playing time and throws for a TD!
 
My 5 year old found him after the game and asked him to sign his EWU football and both of them beamed! As did dad. Great kid

I love hearing stories like this. Great day for a guy who has worked really hard for five years! :notworthy: AV really reminds me of Alex Smart-- a QB who could have a really awesome career if it weren't for the guy ahead of him being so special.

According to the Spokesman Review- 302. Big Sky record is 310.4 by Eastern's Mark Tennison 1992
 
I was fired up when Vitto threw that TD pass. So awesome to see a 5th year Senior that has done all the right things, having to sit behind Mitchell, Padron, and Adams make a great play like that.

I would assume he'll get the start against Portland State if we beat Cal Poly next week. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on a scoring drive. With the exception of one drive against Oregon State when they changed it up and brought pressure, the offense hasn't skipped a beat with Vitto in.
