I'm thinking this kid is a preferred walk-on.

It'll be good having another local big. He is 6'10." As a SR he averaged 15 and 10. He played with AAU Utah Pump-n-Run last year.

I'd like to thank CATCAT for notifying me of this addition. He was away from his computer and wasn't able to add this thread himself. I just wish he would update Weberhoops now.

This is a very good situation for Ryan. Quite often big men are slower to develope than their smaller team mates. This will give him a solid year to workout with the team, without the presure to play, go on a mission, and come back with four years of eligibvility left. In the year that he is with us, the coaches will have a chance to really get to know what his potential might be, and will be able to give him good direction on his return. Every day, in practice, he will be going against our other bigs. That can only help everyone involved.

ya just ask danco.

Danko LOOOOL! well, considering how rare 7 footers are....you have to take any chance on one you can get. i red in SI that 17% of all US males 7 foot or above have a 17% chance of making the NBA. makes you wonder what their chances are of making a DI roster? 80%? 90%

how many people around 7 foot have u ever seen or known that played no basketball?

the last guy we had that was over 6'10" besides Danko was Lance who made the NBA.

another interesting state from SI was that just 0.07% of 6'6"-6'8" guys can make the NBA.

SI also said that only 5% of US males are taller than 6'3". So i guess this means BengalHater is in this 5% as he claims he is 6 foot 5...same with Talhad...but we all know they are both about 6'1.
