Here, here! This is a recurrent problem for Portland State. Seems like an artificial constraint is being imposed for no good reason. Why need we play the role of the struggling upstream-swimming salmon year after year?

Why continually handicap our odds needlessly like this? This is not the way to build a championship but to frustrate efforts.

If you cannot find the big bodies for centers and power forwards domestically, then we need to acquire them internationally. How many big men do we need that we lack now? We could use two centers and one or two "enforcers;" at least three more as things stand now.

I suspect that Geving would like a 6'10" as much as you. but so does every university team in the country. And they all recruit. How many talls are on the market for PSU? Internationals are expensive to recruit and expensive to get here. I can live with the 6'6"-6'8" we've got. With the occasional serendipitous 6'10".

I think there are enough big men to go around if we go international. I believe we need to recruit with a wide lens and get creative as to previously untapped sources.

Good news, indeed!
