I'd like to see Long run for another 200 yards, but based on what Barnum told you earlier Scott, it sounds like Barnum is going to use this game to "revive the passing attack". Based on what has happened all season, I'd bet that Long doesn't get 10 carries against Weber this weekend.

It sounds like we don't know if we are a running team or a passing team. This is the last weekend in October. For most of the successful teams, all this is decided in September. For us, we are still confused.

I'd really like to take that bet b/c if Barnum doesn't feed him after last week, he's insane. Who else do we have that takes a 4 yard loss and turns it into a TD. Besides, Weber is weak against the run and that's the only thing we do well right now. I think the changes he's talking about are more quick passes. I'm hoping for a breakout game for this team. If we can't do it against an 0-7 team we never will.

The presence of Long and Tago compel defensives to respect the run, which opens up the pass attack. The options available make defensives have to guess when offenses are more than one-dimensional.

A bright note about QB Keiran McD is that he can also bootleg and run like a big back. Can he learn to throw the play-action pass accurately? If he could learn to pass well, he'd be quite the full package at QB.

There is having the tools and then using them effectively.

Very impressed with Long. Gained over 100 yards today against Weber St. 3 more years of eligibility left after this season. Combining him with a bigger back such as Tago, makes the PSU backfield future bright!

No huge runs today for long but he ran hard and got some tough first downs when we needed them today. A couple of nice blocks too. He looks good.
