While I know all is better than just wonderful with Viking football, I wonder what are the plans to improve the game day experience out in Hillsboro? Of course not that it was horrible in 2018. Is anyone working on how we can increase attendance out there? Are there any plans on how to get fans from the Max stop to the stadium? I am sure there are many folks in the Athletic Department working on these problems, but I would like to know if they have made any progress. Any leaks?

They'd do better to run shuttles from campus/downtown than from the MAX stop.

Well, maybe a few from MAX. Mind you, I have a bad memory of how the Hops started out their shuttle. Not sure they still have that.

Maybe if you ran it like Timbers Army does with Seattle Away... charge a bit for the ride, put kegs on each bus (maybe you get local brewers to sponsor the buses), voila!

That one doesn't paint too good of a picture. It is almost funny. ESPN should be better than that.

In 2012 the Vikes opened at home against NAIA Carroll College before 6,945 just blocks from campus at JELD-WEN Field (now Providence Park). The game was broadcast on 970 AM radio in Portland. In 2019, after being evicted and banished to Hillsboro Stadium close to 20 miles from campus, we opened at home against D2 Simon Fraser before 3,217. There was no radio broadcast. PSU is the only Big Sky football program not a having their games on the radio. I guess if it is good enough Viking basketball, it should good enough for football as well. I find it all very sad.

How's the WOU radio network going?

Radio is dying. To a certain extent, TV coverage is dying as well. Streaming is the way of the future. You can now watch any Vik game live via computer or mobile device. Vik games have been streamed via Pluto for a few years now. I mentioned this to a few of my Beaver fans who were upset that their game with Hawaii was not on TV (it was streamed on Facebook). Also, my east coast FCS friends can watch any Big Sky game that is not on ROOT (Pluto needs just internet, ROOT requires a TV package). We've come a long way in 5 years. Nothing to be sad about.

Worst attendance in the Big Sky, the only D1 Program in the West (exception U San Diego) without radio coverage, and 17 and 32 in the Barnum era.
