Vs. BYU

It's funny how little conversation there is after a huge win, yet had we lost yesterday this board would have once again most likely been filled with "Rahe cant beat BYU, never wins instate games, and is anyone surprised" posts.

I think a few fans owe it to Rahe and this team to come on here and congratulate them for the win.

I am very happy that a team coached by Rahe beat BYU!! He is now 1-12 (or 2-11?) against them. He still has a 0.08% winning percentage against BYU. In the all-time series it is 33-11. Rahe is responsible for 37% of the losses. I am thrilled to have beat BYU, but it doesnt change the fact that Rahe is still lousy against BYU (1-12). Now, can we continue to get the series back to respectable in time, sure, but we have to do better than one win every 13 years.

We currently have a winning streak vs. BYU, Utah, USU, SUU, Westminster, and probably DSU. We need to beat USU on Saturday to keep that streak alive at 3, and we need to beat UVU on the 15th to start a streak. That would be a winning streak vs all teams in the state.

Actually, Randy has 3 wins against BYU depending on the outcome of the Y's appeal to the NCAA. They had to vacate two years of wins. Giving Randy, now, 3 wins. But, no one cares what the NCAA says. The games were played and the wins/losses recorded.

I have my issues with Randy's coaching, but I left the Dee with a huge smile on my face Saturday night. Right now, all that matters is that Weber has finally beaten the Y again. That was a lot of fun Saturday night.

Finally, guys...holy moses drop it. STOP THE DICK MEASURING. Can't we all be happy that Weber won on Saturday night? A lot of the apathy is that a number of fans left the forum and football is playing really well. Next man up. Fresno on Wednesday and Utah State Saturday!

Tal, I would have to check again, but I am pretty sure Emery only played in one of the two games during the time period in question. Either way, this win was great, and hopefully we can keep the in-state winning going!

pirate,

wow what a memory. so 2003 byu had schoff and 2018 had cannon. since last yr's win by byu over weber was vacated by byu this means cannon didnt get the chance to beat weber either year. he was part of 0 wins in 4 years of the series :)
