Vs. CSWHo

Watched the game on TV . Looked like a cold shooting spell and missed free throws did us in otherwise we took it to them and should have won. Beat the Buffs next week !

Yep 19% from 3 pt land and a meek 38% from the line. Not going to get it done. I wouldn't be me if I didn't coach a little. Wish we would have switched to a zone in the 2nd half. We were in foul trouble and they got some easy buckets the 1st 10 minutes in the 2nd half. They shot layups and we struggled to score.

I did like the fight. UNC could have gotten blown out. Go Bears

Cam Michael shoots way too many 3's. If he's on, fine shoot away, but that wasn't the case today.

After watching him play, you can tell he is scorer. Sometimes when your shots aren't falling you need to try to get a few 15 footers to go.

The problem with that IMO is our motion offense. Teams have figured out to defend the 3 pt line on us. If they can force us one step behind the arc our flow gets very disrupted and our shooting percentage goes down. As I've mentioned before with no inside out presence we are left with the dribble and everyone knows ball movement with the pass is way more affective than the dribble.

I still believe the Bears will be very solid in the Big Sky. We will probably struggle with the bigger schools as they tend to have players with both size and length. :twocents:

Yea Cam missed 10 3's and as a team we shot a paltry 19% ! Add 10 missed free throws and one can see the outcome !

Exactly. And Bearunlce...he was getting open shots too. His points came from when he would drive, and mid-range jumpers. If you're off, fine...do something else. I don't know of Hill kept telling him to shoot, but it was very frustrating.

Make your free throws, make your lay-ups and we beat the Rams. So frustrating.

I agree with everything you said. I still believe our offensive set leads itself to way to much dribble and standing around the 3 pt arc. An offense should produce decent looks. Granted they don't all go in, but we have to create most of our shots off the dribble. I've watched just about every game the last 5 years and when we struggle it's a result of poor shooting and free throws. Teams have figured out how to defend us which contributes to these type of games.
