When I asked Mike Lund about Jelani Eason’s absence the last several games, he told me “sprained ankle”. How often does your #2 QB not be on the sidelines signaling plays with just a minor injury ?

When I asked Mike Lund about Jelani Eason’s absence the last several games, he told me “sprained ankle”. How often does your #2 QB not be on the sidelines signaling plays with just a minor injury ?

Hmm, I assumed he decided to redshirt so he could start the year after Davis Alexander graduates. Didn’t realize he hadn’t been at the games; hopefully he doesn’t leave the program, but he’s still on the roster for now.

I’ve always hoped he would move to running back; we haven’t had a consistent, impact player there since David Jones in ‘15 and he might be that. He could spend the rest of this year and the spring learning the position and the still have two years of eligibility if he redshirted. Seems like he’s set on being a QB though
