vs. Northern Iowa: GDT

We will not win if we can't get these teams out of their game plan. UNI can take it easy and play conservative, because their D, and the weather are completely negating our offense. And Bailey just runs free if the pocket breaks down.

I wonder if they are this much better than us or if we were just completely unprepared this week. This is embarrassing.

Not ready. GG is seeing one eighth of the field, can't run the read option and the LB's aren't covering backs out of the backfield and running themselves into the line of scrimmage like the past years. Soft coverage isn't helping either. this feels like a coaching issue today. I know they are young men, but this seems very Grahamy like. (all speculation) Hope they find an answer and make this a game.

I think coach b's message will be to forget the first half and figure out a way to execute coming back out.

But my god what a travesty!

Any possible way we can scrap our way out of this hole? Worst half of EWU football I've watched in a long time.

I think EWU has shown a knack for staying in games for the most part. But this does feel a little like the shell shock of last year against UM. I don't know the psyche of the players, but it almost seems like there is a swagger of "We can hang with NDSU," and maybe they felt this game would be a little easier? And UNI's offense really didn't look that unstoppable against the Griz. But I think the Griz D is at a whole other level than ours is at this point.

Doesn't look like it unless they turn the ball over, and that seems fairly unlikely given their style of play. The most frustrating part of this for me is how unprepared we seem to be for their QB. It's not like he didn't do this same stuff to us last year. That's on the coaches.

I also think not having Kupp out there hurts us more than we would have liked to think.
