Walk ons? Transfers? Vic?

Shaq is a WR for sure. I haven't heard of any transfers at CB but I'll let you know if I hear of anything. I'm so excited for this season!

cllawman,
Thanks for getting the tickets for Chris and myself. Let me know what I owe you, I can bring it to you.
I didn't know we rated the high with you, hiolding our seats. You are the "GREATEST" This week have been kind of "hit and miss", I think the team lifts Mon thru Thurs, and once that is done, it seems as if all the
Players stay away from the Campus. Haven't seen any Transfers as yet. Maybe once school starts, we may
see some. Once school starts we will have more players coming out. I don't drink, but we can go a little early help these knees, and wouldn't miss the kick off. The last time we played Idaho, was a defensive battle, we won 8-5, baseball score.

Will try and make the 7 on 7 on Monday if there is one. (Mem BasketbalI) I am so imprressed with our MBB Team, there are so, some great shooters on the court. One I am impressed with is Thomas R. Unable to spell his name, another player from Germany his name slips my mind at present. Again, thanks for getting the Idaho Tickets for Chris and myself. Vic

While playing golf at the Raver, I heard we have a U of Kentucky transfer, I think he was a walk-on, Defensive Back.
Pulu's younger brother is 250 and is probably on the the D line, I did not hear if he would be D end or not?
Coaches reality like Padron's personal attitude and chemistry plus his approach to the game.

Great news to hear!

Corner??

If we indeed have a transfer from Kentucky, I don't see him on the roster. I did notice we have another QB.

Well, the transfer thing might be a recent development since the roster was last updated.

Anyone know if there's an open schollie with Anthony Larry not being academically eligible and leaving the team? I'm wondering who this guys is now.

Clawman/SE174,
The only thing I have heard about transfers, is what I have read on this blog. Dave Cook put out an email a few days ago about when the practices start. There are two scrimmages schedule as of now, they are Aug 18th @ 11:30am, the other Aug 23rd 12:30pm. Practices start Aug 9th 3pm. First practice in PADS Aug 11th @ 4pm, with two days off. Aug. 30th is around the corner before our 1st victory.

Tuesday last week I had about 20 Players came for dinner, they were apprecciative for the meal. We enjoyed having them. Kyle Padron is such a respectable young man. All the Ribs, Catfish were gone, very little Collards were left, 1 dish Mac & Cheese were left, three were made. One thing about these young men, not may of them drank POPS, modt of them wanted water, which is good.

You know I will be there for FOOTBALL. Have a great Sunday, whats left of it. Vic

Oh, he's on the DL all right, but not the good one. Got rolled up on from behind and tore an MCL. Out for the season

how the hell did he get injured before practices even started???

The guys organized their own workout. I guess the offense switched directions on a drill and threw towards where the defense was working. A receiver landed on little Pulu's legs from behind.

Seems as if we get more than our fair share of injuries during the season...and then for something kinda flukey to happen does indeed suck for him and the team.

Damnit.

Does anyone know if Jordan was going to see the field this year or if they had planned on him Red shirting?

Hey Dozy you mentioned Pulu tore his MCL. In the Spokesman it said he injured his meniscus and will have a MRI today to determine what exactly it is. Hopefully it would be just the meniscus locking up the MCL and they can just shave it(scope it) and he could be out as little as a couple of weeks...let's hope so for his and the teams sake.

The updated Eastern roster lists Christian Hudnell db 6-0 185 Jr Tr Jesuit HS Sacremento/Kentucky.
Kentucky's spring depth roster had him as number three at left cornerback. I didn't find much on his career except that he was the point guard in basketball as a high school senior, had knee surgery that year (2009), was a walkon at Kentucky, and played the piano with a group of Kentucky football players! He was at Kentucky for three years, so has used his redshirt year and has two left to play. If Kentucky kept him around for three years, they must have seen something that can help Eastern at the cornerback position?

I noticed the additional as well. We had a hole in the secondary after Gayton was dismissed from the team, so it's nice to grab an SEC player, even if he was a 3d stringer. Interesting that he's from California - maybe a player we recruited out of HS? Either way, nice addition. The secondary is what I'm most worried about with regard to the defense. They will be tested heavily the first two games, but especially versus WSU.
