• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

We Have The Worst Sports Info Department in the Conference

A couple of days ago, the Big Sky released its all-academic team members for spring semester. ISU had 72, almost double of most other schools!!!! A big congratulations is in order! However............... there is not one mention of it on the ISU athletic website. All other conference schools posted it on their sites for their athletes, alumni and community. Why hasn't ISU?

Yeah yeah, this probably should go on the other sports board, but I figure People should see it. This is just another example of the lackadaisical work coming out of the office on the hill. Pathetic. It makes you wonder what the admin really views as important????????

For what it's worth, there were quite a few tweets online last week which indicated ISU has hired an assistant SID. Apparently the individual is coming from the University of Montana...

Site maintenance is horrible. Has been for recent memory. Rosters are slow to be updated. I am of the opinion that the official site is a great recruiting tool and I hate to see it not used the way I see other conference members use it. I have no doubt that ISU can figure out a way to update things timely.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

Prospective recruits are not going to start looking up Twitter accounts, Facebook accounts, blogs, and message boards as soon as they are interested in ISU. They are going to look at the school's main page and the athletic department's main page. As you click through isubengals.com, you find TONS of outdated old information. That smells of APATHY and INCOMPETENCE!!!! Frankly, it's embarrassing.

You go to some school's websites, and they give you the official Twitter and Facebook account for each sport, too.

Gittins on Channel 6 has been running a series of interviews with Tingey on the state of the program. It's been interesting, and today Gittins gave the Twitter accounts of Tingey and Kramer. But here is another example of the recruit, fan, parent, alum, and community having to look up a whole lotta sources just to get ISU info.

That's great that a new assistant SID was hired, but it means squat if the culture and mission of that department don't change. At least it will take away the constant excuses we hear of being short handed!!!
