... for a discussion of NAU spring sports.

Women's hoops had a tough transition to a new coach. Talent is there but it's yet to come together. Men's hoops exceeded my expectations and seems to have a bright future though replacing the production of Saldivar and Rogers won't occur overnight. I think it was MaxPreps (?) that showed Blake Hamilton is looking to transfer but the NAU website shows him still on the Jacks roster. Track and field continues kicking ass. Men's tennis is struggling but women's tennis on a good streak.

I see Big Sky programs (U of Montana to be exact) have added softball. Is that on the horizon for NAU? The softball talent in Arizona is deep.

he will be on the NAU website long after he transfers im sure, the athletic program prob thinks nobody will notice. Same when we lost deonte williams. He was on the roster for a long time. Then he comes back to the dome and runs over a couple of souers "character kids" and we all remember. Looks like campos is cleaning house with some assistan ad's though. now back to the kitchens

Thanks for the heads up, Jacksdude. I was unaware of the athletic department changes. I met Schaff in the past at NAU - ASU/UofA football games and I enjoyed talking to him. Sad to see this happen but regardless of what I perceive my idyllic little alma mater on the mountain top to be... athletics is a business.
