Head coach Jerry Glanville is far from satisfied with the Vikings' 2008 campaign but says he is not ready to give up

You know there were several several German and Japanese military officers who said the same thing in 1944, and look where they ended up. Any talk that the current course was not in the best intrest of the country was called defetism thinking, rather than a rational grasp on reality. We are in the same frame of mind if we allow the continuation of Jerry Glanville as our head football coach.

This reactionary stuff isn't necessary. If you're going to be critical, which is reasonable given the lack of success the last two years, please provide methods on how you think the problems could be fixed (ie. changing of schemes, playing different players, increased funding, etc.). This way, we can have productive debates about the state of the program, where it was two years ago, and where it might be if Glanville or another coach is in charge. Thanks.

Quite the false analogy if you ask me. The direction of PSU football as it relates to military decisions of the Axis in 1944? Tough to validate that one.

Jerry Glanville clearly is not the man we expected him to be. The players arent happy, there is no tradition, we have teams who used to be afraid to play the Vikings but instead we have teams playing us on their senior day (i.e. Montana State). Lets think about it, the program hired an NFL coach who never had a winning season as a head coach! No disrespect fellow viking fans, I love my viks, and the kids on that team deserve every right to win. All the talent this team brings in and we cant be 500 or above?! What about those kids who sat the bench for no apparent reason? Lets think about the future of this program before we point fingers, we have to remember that it all starts from the top. The head man knows he is stinking up the program, if he knows, and we can smell it. Why the heck arent we saying anything?
