"Montana executed their offense to perfection," WSU linebacker Nick Webb said. "We struggled against them defensively and couldn't make stops."

From the Desnews. What a WEAK copout. Own up to your embarrasment of a football game. The only reason they "executed to perfection" is because, A- you guys don't execute your defense to perfection and B- I personally watched guys quit, turn down hits and WALKING before the whistle blew. WEAK!!! Is it basketball season yet?

So much for all the player talk about being pissed about the SUU loss and wanting to re-establish the physicality.

Weak is the right word.

Someone just asked me if I heard the radio show tonight and that Mac keeps pinning the Montana game on the Defense, although I agree it was sub par and left much to be desired for the D, I have a few comments:

What happened to the offense?
What happened to our All American O linemen?
What happened to our 5 running backs?
A field goal in the 1st half and a TD in the 2nd half does not equal 'a powerful offense'
Special Teams, any more penalties and we'll be running backwards
38 points scored in the 1st half, 7 points scored in the 2nd half, it appears some adjustments were made on D

This was a team loss, every facet of the game. Or in another coaching ploy, Mac knows the D is the only thing that can win this week's game and is trying to fire them up. We go with our #2 QB, and the #3 QB is out with an ACL injury, it's going to be rough at best.

The D cannot score, so let the D get better and have the O show up for the game. :thumb: :wall: :thumb:
