Weber @ Montana St

For two reasons, I do think Weber wins at Montana St. First, look at how Weber responded to their only other conference loss of the year. Look how they came back after getting soundly defeated by UNC and pummeled N Arizona. In my opinion, that kind of rebound from a loss is a direct result of good coaching. With Rahe's coaching, I see another strong response tonight. And secondly, State just isn't as good as UM, plain and simple. Tonight Weber will be playing a team they are much better than. Sorry Bobcat fan, that's just how I see it (and feel free to call me out if Weber loses tonight). But I do think it will be close because for whatever reason, under Rahe, Weber seems to struggle more against State than any other Sky team.

It really sucks having these back to back night games. This is our first on the road. WSU has the most back to back night games of anyone in the conference with 4. 2 at home, 2 away. The UNC/NAU trip wasn't on back to back nights.

we cant afford to have another game like last night, you cant have 22-12 fouls and expect to have a chance to win and you need to get to the charity stripe, 28 to 10 will almost guarantee you a loss.

Our team has been consistent with good rebounding, low TO's and good all around D. We can get the win in Boze.

Weber wins:
1. Revenge sucks from last year Big Sky tournament game.
2. Losing ticks these guys off - see NAU game after UNC loss.

Weber solidifies BSC lead with win tonight.

We also need K-Bull to return to the play we got from him last year, he has regressed this year and I am not sure why. His 3 ball shot hasn't looked good most of the year and for a 4 he hasn't had much success on the block either. So how do we get him going, run some back door cuts, curls at the top of the free throw line???

we owe MSU big time; beating them in Ogden last month wasn't enough for last yr. its good seeing the montanas doing well (as long as they aren't beating us, lol).

I for one after watching Montana beat us on the boards and physically beat our bigs with bigger bigs, see now why Coach Rahe recruited Tresnak 6'10'' 235 and Hajak 6'10" 240 lb freshman to compete with 6'9'' 240 Morris on next years team. They along with Mahoney need to get more Physical.. They talk about length and arm size but our own 6'6" Bull just isn't big enough. I love our outside people but now Coro's injury is showing through that outside shooting is premium in the Big Sky. You can't just have athletes, zones and size can screw that up. Hansen not shooting well kills us..So, now I see why the WEBER STAFF is always recruiting new players...anywho, beat Montana State tonight,,,,

Nice win Cat's - way to pull it out at the end. 9-2 is a good spot to be in, but we need to come home and protect our home turf.

Just now, I was over purusing the Bobcatnation board. I will say most of their posters were fair and answered truthfully, but there was one fan who was completely delusional in his analysis of the game. He wanted to blame the refs for Weber's loss. I'm not sure what game he was watching, but HELL, he is totally incorrect and absoutely WRONG. Maybe he needs to watch Friday nights game, against the Fizz, to truly recognize what its like to lose a game because of poor and biased refs.

I guess in Bozeman some fans believe a game where both teams shot 24 Free Throws, and had the same number of fouls, is a definite advantage for one of the teams. What a monkey's A$$!! I hope he has a chance to see a replay of the game. I'm not a huge fan of Big Sky refs, especially Bernie, but they made the right call on the over and back, the bobcat was on the half-court line, which was and is the right call.

Thats just plain ignorance and disrespect to Weber to say that the refs gave Weber the game. So, the refs sucked, honestly whats new? Big Sky...HELLO?!? Weber pulled out a win against a very determined MSU team. MSU had their chances and couldn't capitalize. Don't blame the refs for your mistakes. Its part of the game. Oh, there were more charges called on Weber. Panos's 5 foul. WTF game was this poser watching. Idiot, totally slapped his team in the face with his insinuations.

standard.net article:

That was when Lillard hit the game-sealing free throws and was finally able to respond to the crowd behind the WSU bench that had been hounding him all night long.

"Every time something went wrong for us they started calling me out on it," Lillard said. "I never said anything to them but I know those last free-throws iced the game for us so I felt like that was the time to turn and look at them."

montana state twitter:

"Weber State players pretty mouthy after the game. Ouch. Remember where you are boys."
about 11 hours ago from TweetDeck

MSU and Weber have a long rivalry. In the 1960s during a football game their crowd attacked our team.

Weber did a great job finishing last night. They didn't play the best second half, but that could be attributed to fatigue and the bobcats who knew last nights game was huge for them staying the championship race.

FatCat ( or anyone) has Hajek committed to Weber? Having two frosh bigs will be a help for the program, plus add Fulton who is a strong 4 that can play insiude, it will help the cause.

We should know more tomorrow. Hajek is a diamond in the rough, but will need to work really hard to develop his potential. But yes, another 6-10 player would be huge.
