@ Weber St.

Special teams were fantastic, and the defense did enough. I just cannot fathom how we can win any additional games with this offense.
We had 200 yards of total offense. You can't win any games with that kind of production without serious help. In this game, turnovers and special teams were the difference.

Ugliest win ever!!!!! WIN yeah buddy!!!!
That’s along the lines of what I was thinking. When was the last time you saw a team play this bad on offense and still win? Credit the D, they are working hard and continuing to improve. Granted, we’ve played two really bad offenses in a row, but they’re clearly growing and making plays.

I have no idea what to do with this offense. I suspect Bell was pressed hard on his volume of turnovers and now has enough self-doubt that he second guesses releasing the ball. There were a lot of times he was under pressure and just didn’t get the ball to the hot receiver.

Game ball to the D and punt team. They won it for us.

If we win one more game with this offense I'll be shocked.
For some reason, whenever we play Weber State, it tends to be an ugly game. Barriere had his first start against Weber and stunk it up about like Bell did today. And then he came back with a monster performance in his next game against Idaho. Who knows? I’d sure as hell have a backup plan in case he plays as bad as he did today. I don’t know if that’s Taylor or something else, but everything today was cringey bad.

Bell is definitely not Barriere. Even if he was he doesn't have the weapons Barriere did.

Weber won it for us. Gifted us 9 points.

It is always an ugly game with Weber because they always seem to have a good defense and they can always run the ball.

Their defensive game plan really did a good job of exposing our one-dimensional offense. They took away Bell's ability to scramble and dared us to throw the ball. I wouldn't know what to do with this offense, either. There just isn't enough of a passing threat and I don't know what you can do to change that at this point in the season.

All you have to do to stop this offense is stack the box. There is virtually no vertical passing game. Bell can make some difficult throws on occasion, but the consistency just isn't there.

Lots of justified criticisms of Bell on here, but one thing that doesn't get mentioned is the new-to-this-season offensive line. Multiple errant snaps, missed blocks, sacks given up. The unit overall is just not that good. 30 yards on the ground today.

I think we have a small chance to beat UNC at home, and maybe a slightly better chance against Cal Poly to close out the season. The other two are unwinnable.
You don’t think we have a chance to beat Sac State at home? I’m sure they’d be favored, but I’d hardly call it unwinnable. The only scary game left on the schedule is on the road at Montana. Even watching us stink out a win today, 3 or the last 4 are games on the table.
