Weber State (10.08.2016)

2nd best BSC rushing offense vs the 2nd worst BSC rushing defense.

Ultimately I'd like to see a balanced offense from us, but if we can put up another 500+ yards on the ground, I say just go with what works.

Injuries have killed us defensively this year, but the young guys that have come in are getting better by the week.

Weber gave up a lot of yards on the ground in the first two games but have since then allowed considerably less holding Sac State to around 140 and UC Davis to 98.

Still I don't see Weber or Portland State stopping each other and we very well could have another high scoring game between these two schools, something that seems to happen from time to time with Weber and PSU.

Looking forward to a good game and hoping neither team has any serious injuries.

Which key players are out for you guys? It is known whether Tela will play this week?

According to Coach Hill's interview on Skyline sports Tela is most likely out for the rest of the year and will receive a medical redshirt. Which is unfortunate but probably for the best.

Alema Key is also probably out for the season but that is unconfirmed. As well as Jared Afalava. Weber has a lot of underclassmen playing on D right now and they are gonna have to step up to stop PSU.

Offensively Hill has said that we might have senior running back Erik Wilkes back, but at this point I would also leave him out and get him a medical redshirt since Weber is not short of capable running backs.

Indeed, lets see if we can break our own record

Friggin ESPN app had PSU as 14-10 victors when I checked it on Saturday night at another game. Found out we lost on Sunday morning when I checked goviks.com for stats.

Talk about a disappointing Sunday morning. :-\
