We're going to need to play way, way better than Thursday night for a win.

Keys:

- Minutes from Cataldo and Prosser when Parker is sitting.

- Rebounding. Fundamentals. Get a body on a body.

- Defense from our guys like Moore, Harvey, and Whitmore. They seem to be strong with the 'tweener' type guys that can cause problems.

First off, this was a great college basketball game to watch. An emotional hard fought up and down close game that went to OT, with a lot of great plays all around.

I'm sure Moore will probably be kicking himself for a while on those free throws at the end of regulation, but hopefully he has a short memory on those. In my opinion, this was his best game as a Viking. Dare I say that he was a little 'Deonte Huff' tonight. Very emotional and and I think that he's rising to be the leader of this team. One hell of a game by him.

On to the not so positive...

Grrr. That little munchkin Randy pulls out another close game against PSU, yet again. I wish we'd seen WSU later at home when school was in and it wasn't around the holidays, but oh well. The crowd (small), was into the game, but it could have been very much more hostile.

That intentional foul call that ended in a seven point swing was horsesh*t. That happened on the end that we sit at and I'm still amazed that it was called. It was a clear play on the ball. 2 + 2 free throws + a 3 on the possession and the entire momentum of the game changed.

Random thoughts:

- Why didn't WSU zone press?

- Teef is really starting to gel. 4 rebound, 10 point, and a 7:1 assist ratio.

- I'm a big baseball guy, so I like stats. Why sub Gary in for Harthun late when Harthun is better in the majority of the stat column? This was in an offensive possession.

- Our pressure defense was great tonight. I'd like to see more of that. If nothing, it burned about ten seconds off of their shot clock.

- Need at least a split in the Montana trip.

on goviks Geving Said, "I told my guys I am proud of them the way they competed. If they play hard like that every single night we will be in very good shape… there are a lot more league games left, we just have to compete." I couldn't agree more.

Moore was a beast tonight. Had the midrange jumper falling, is so active, and has some Kyle Coston feistiness to his game. I like the toughness from psu tonight.

I've watched a lot of basketball and don't think I've ever seen a 7 point possession. I was impressed that the viks didn't fold after that.

Parker has to be pretty sore after the beating he took down low tonight. The refs sure let them play tonight.
