Weber State Rumor

I heard a rumor that BYU backup quarterback, Billy Green, will be transferring to Weber. Don't have anything solid yet.

If this kid is legit, would this help Weber's offensive woes and a tilt toward a turnaround for the program? Thoughts?

It will take more than that to turn them around I'm afraid.

That's why I said a tilt toward a turnaround. They aren't too shabby defensively, but their offense is horrid.

Who's their new coach? I think their success or failure hinges more on that than one transfer does, however good he may be. I don't think they're really had good coaching since McBride.

Our defense was pretty bad, but I dont think it was a lack of talent, I think it had more to do with the defensive scheme we were running and the youth, we were very young last year and a lot of those players are coming back so hopefully with our new coaches and schemes we can improve on the defensive side, I was always under the impression especially last year that we were a good QB away from being pretty decent. There is a lot of talent on this Wildcat team, I am hoping that Coach Hill and Co can get the ship that was sinking fast and get it afloat again.

With all the recruits that Hill has brought in, including loads of Utah talent and FBS transfers, Im cautiously optimistic :chair:

Problems with the defensive scheme? Let's see who was in charge of Weber's "D" the last couple of years? Oh yeah Mr. Sears...problems with the defensive scheme...been there done that.

It would be nice to see Weber, and Idaho St for that matter, become more competitive in the conference again but a QB transfer right now is going to have a hard time getting adjusted. It took Bo Levi until the 4th quarter of the quarterfinals against NDSU before he really clicked in his first year.
