I thought the guys played hard last night and that we had a good chance to beat the weebles....... we started out like we did in Ogden and Stutzman put on an offensive show.

Was expecting Novak to have a big game. I thought the difference in the game was Weber’s ability to play inside out! Their big looked like he should’ve been on the football field instead of the basketball court. I didn’t like how he seemed to be banging our bigs and the refs didn’t call it. I kept waiting for the double team, but Evans left Novak on an island.

Still a great game and it shows that we can compete. Evans needs to be more proactive...... I thought he let the team down last night. I hope we see them again in the tourney!

Maybe somebody can explain this to me. Evans is running a system with a true 4 & 5 (Ingram and Novak). Ingram gets hurt, and now the entire defense and offense is changed more than half way through the season to a 4 guard lineup. Why hasn't he tried to throw Truman, McCord or Kimberly now in as a 4, at least to plug some things up on defense once in a while?

I know, I know, the Big Sky is a guards league. But if I was a big, I'd look twice about playing for this program. They don't seem to develop and improve anyone. I really think Novak's improvement comes in the off season when he plays international ball.

Think about it. What bigs over the last few years have developed into a threat under Evans? Either they don't know how to recruit them, or they don't know how to develop them.

McCord? Sitting on the bench after being his JC league's MVP, averaged over 25 points and over 12 rebounds a game.

Truman? Plays about 2-3 minutes a game. Hasn't been a factor.

Stephen Lennox? Showed potential his first season, looked worse his second, transferred out.

Robert Jones? Transferred out after one year.

Marcus Bradley? Disappointing for sure. Transferred out of the program.

Andre Slavik? Transferred out.

Spencer Nicolds? Transferred out.

Magot got some minutes, but still only averaged like 2 rebounds a game.
