Weber State

Great finish to the half, wasn't looking good for a few min...huge 3's by colimon! Need to come out and shoot well in the 2nd half, take the lead and bury Weber!

Best of luck Eagles.

Did everyone see that three by Forbes!? Holy shit. That's the flattest 3 ball I've ever seen go in... had no arc. Just chest-lobbed it in from downtown. Crazy.

58-56 Weber State, about 7 to go... this has been an excellent game and should come down to the wire. Need to keep Lillard in check and off the line, he is aggressive going to the hoop. Colimon and Ederaine have supplied the offense, but someone else needs to step up and make shots.

8/25 from downtown for EWU so far... need to knock down a couple in last few minutes, under 3 to go, 6 point game

Just back from the game, after a couple of drinks, and all I can say is another wasted opportunity. Weber will be impossible to beat once they get their two starters back. Lilliard is good. Best player on floor. Reminded me of Stuckey. I felt bad for poor Parker Kelly late in the game. He was subbed in for one possession and for some reason matched up on the future NBA player. Lilliard immediately scored and the freshman took a seat. I pray he declares for the draft. First the good things.

1) Big Cliff was a stud scoring and rebounding and with assists. His best game of year.
2) Little Cliff hit some big shots and played good defense forcing some key turnovers.
3) Forbes finally looked to score and did.
4) Griffin didnt foul out.
5) we took care of the ball
5) we battled back after digging a huge hole.

Bad things (aka More of the same)

1) we dug a big hole.
2) coach's stud recruit was anything but going 1 for 10 (though coach finally sat him after bad decisions of which there were many)
3) more fouls than Weber
4) less free throws and attempts than Weber
5) lower FG % than Weber
6) fewer assists than Weber

Stat of the night: Our biggest post player, Big Cliff, had 5 assists tonight bringing His season total to 41. This is outstanding compared to guard Chiverton's season total of a whopping 9. His fourth game in a row without an assist.

We have some very winnable games coming up and should go on a nice roll. We are clearly a third place team which I am content with. Hopefully we win the games we should and compete at Weber and against Montana at home. I liked how coach sat Chiverton when it was appropriate and the team responded well. Our next win streak stars this weekend.

No answer for Lillard.
Don't keep putting him on the free throw line would be a good start. Colliman had about the same stats except for the 12 ft's by Lillard.
If not for Cliff and Cliff we suck.

It seems a little like last year when we proved we could play teams close, but still don't win. Crappy crowd last night... disappointing all the way around.
