Weber @ SUU

Bring on the Thunderchickens. SUU is a complete mess. That said, I expect them to come out and throw everything they have at Weber. I believe Coach Hill will have the team fired up for this one.

Even though SUU is a mess right now, this game is everything for them whereas it probably is just another game for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats offense has not put any team away this year, so it will probably be a lot closer than I would like, but I still see this as a win. The road team seems to have the edge lately in this series.

Wildcats need to get fired up for these last two games. Take care of the ball and better red zone play calling would go a long way to closing out the season with two wins. Go Wildcats!

Who's making the trip? I just purchased my tickets. There were just over 600 tickets left on the east bleachers, and only singles on the west side.

Heading to both games. We bought tickets a month ago, west side was mostly sold out then. Bleachers suck, but I hate sitting on the home side. Only missed UND and Cal Poly this year.

Can’t make it up from Phoenix unfortunately.

But I may have bought a flight to SLC in early December after the committee’s rankings were released on Wednesday...

Yeah, those east side bleachers are the absolute worst. Crammed in like sardines and zero leg room. And what's up with the late start in November? Bring your warm clothes.

Looking like Roy High Graduate Tyler Skidmore will be making the start for the birds. Good to see him still playing. I know there was some hurt feelings after his mission and that he wants a little revenge. I'm sure the entire SUU team would love nothing more than to beat the Cats ruining our shot at getting a seed, conference championship, and home field games in December. To me, this is a major game against a dangerous rival. I don't care about their record. This is a serious game and Weber has to go down to Cedar and dominate. Cats own their destiny.

Definitely a trap game. We should win. But we need to make sure we "Leave No Doubt". Again.

I don’t know why Skidmore would have any feelings toward Weber, just because we didn’t offer him a scholarship. I know we were talking to him, but he was never committed and we never officially offered. I’m sure he still wants to win due to Weber being so close to home. He certainly did deserve a scholarship somewhere after leading Roy to the state title game. His story to D1 is fairly remarkable. How many kids leave for 2 years, coach for another and still get a scholarship offer? I’ll be rooting for him in every other game.

This will be there Super Bowl. If we don’t play like it’s ours, we’re in for a hard day. As long as Weber protects the football and plays as hard as them, we should be fine.

This one worries me a bit. Our offense hasn’t been good enough to put teams away. In fact, it often keeps the opponent in the game thanks to turnovers. It shouldn’t be close if we don’t turn the ball over or have any kicks blocked.

Defense should be able to shut down the run and force the freshman QB to air it out. He averaged 3.4 YPA with 2 interceptions vs Montana.

The big guys up front are the key to this game. Weber's offense has gotten better because A. Constantine is playing without a lot of pressure, B. Receivers are actually holding onto the ball, and for me, most importantly, C. The line has manned up and are playing tough. Losing two starters and a key reserve hasn't helped with depth, yet on Saturday they seemed to dominate the line of scrimmage. A good line is key for a championship run and I feel we have one of the best. Keep up the great work guys. For the offense and the backfield, It wouldn't hurt getting Brady May and Treshawn Garrett back this week. Also, a bit hopeful that Josh Davis' injury isn't bad. To me it seemed like he was held out more by the coaches than the injury. Of course this could be wishful thinking on my part. Regardless, I'm really impressed by the play of our backs and the depth. Clay Moss kept moving the ball one Davis went out and ended up having a huge game. He played FB most of the game. Also, noticed that Junior Latu is no long on the roster. What happened there?

Weber is a 16.5 point favorite over SUC.

EWU is a tossup against UCDav.

I feel that the SUC game will be closer and that EWU has an edge due to home field advantage. :coffee:

I plan to call the ticket office in the morning, but does anyone know if the ticket office still has tickets that SUU sent? If not, which section down there are most WSU fans sitting?

We're in section M. Hoping some other Wildcat fans are near us. Temps at kickoff should be around 50 and will be in the 30s before the game ends.

I'm expecting a big game from the offense. SUU's defense is bad. Really bad. They give up 556 yards and 43 points a game. I know our offense hasn't been great, but they've been playing much better and seem to be hitting their stride. This could be a big breakout game for them. My guess is Weber scores at least 35.

On offense SUU gains a lot of yardage but doesn't really score a lot of points. 439 yards a game, but only 26.6 points (they're not great in the red zone and a bad defense tends to lead to poor starting field position). 26.6 is the exact same points Weber is averaging a game. They run up tempo similar to South Dakota and UNC, and are fairly balanced run/pass. I think Weber holds them to less than half their points average.

Weber favored by 16.5. I'll go with 38-14.

We are Section M row 1 on the aisle. I think there will be a few of the Weber faithful nearby. Not quite a sellout, but darn close.

Weber staff sent us to the SUU ticket office. They are not selling a block of tickets for any road game except the Utah game this year.
