Anybody here gonna be at the game? It will be on the Altitude...

UNC lost by 1 last year in Greeley and WSU won the 'Sky. This year the coaches picked WSU to win it again. Will the Bears win the game this time?

Do you still have injuries? I heard one of ur starters that was injured will be back by January.

WSU is 2-0 overall vs UNC, however, I sure don't think it will be as easy as last year!

If anyone can get any pics at the game send me a few!

Our starting Center the last 3 years is out but other than that we are a full strength.

We're pretty tough at home so I'd expect a fairly close game that could go either way and not a Weber blow out.

UNC looked pretty good...they out rebounded the 'Cats and shot better.

Hopefully the Bears can continue to win and qualify for its first ever Big Sky Tournament!

Good luck Bears at San Diego State.

Did you know...

San Diego State is led by Steve Fisher former coach of Michigan's Fab 5 (Jawan Howard, Jalin Rose, Chris Webber, Jimmy King, & Ray Jackson). Fisher won a national title and went to 3 final 4's overall.

In 1992 Fisher's Wolverines were the first team to ever advance to a national title with 5 starting freshmen.

In 1993 they were the first team to ever advance to the national title with 5 starting sophomores!

That was a nail biter. Panagiotakopoulos took it to another level he was so clutch down the stretch! Much credit to him for really elevating his game. Boyle has really turned that kid's career around and also he's matured and developed into a decent point but yesterday he just really stepped up huge and was the player of the game by far regardless of what Altitude thought.

Speaking of which, wow, the Altitude broadcast was terrible. Joining the game 15 minutes late because Marquette had to foul everytime West Virgina got the ball even though they were down by 18 with 2 minutes to play. Then once that game ends showing 6 minutes of commercials. Come on Altitude, get your shit together and switch games! Also, that sideline reporter... she set back negative female sideline reporter sterotypes back 25 years.

I hope as the winning continues the fanbase comes around... where was everyone?

Also, the thought struck me this morning, why don't we have a little pep band sitting in the student section during the game? Of course we don't need the entire band but why not a half dozen or so kids playing some music? It was so dead in there between plays... or, although I hate it, how about some canned music over the PA? It would be better than nothing and just anything to get a little energy in the building would be great... Damn Jay, get on the ball.

There is a small alumni band that plays some games, and was there yesterday. I can also verify that Jay and others (including me) have been pushing for two years for a pep band from the music dept. The higher ups in Performing and Visual Arts want those in the band to be paid, which isn't something high on the priority list in the athletic dept.

Personally, I'm ok with the amount of music they do play over the PA--just turn it down (end "grumpy old man" rant).

Attendance was listed at 1075, which was up from the two previous home games. Keep in mind the last game students were at before finals drew 1300.

A pep band adds to a great atmosphere. I know we love ours here at WSU. But most of them are alumni I believe and they do get paid, but not much. Heck, a seat inside the arena is all some of them would ask for. Anyways, great win for the Bears. Hopefully at some point you can get a few more games televised so we can see you here in Wichita.

Great win for the Bears, I was worried that they were starting to slip abit, but they showed up and played great!

The game was on ESPN's Pay per view channels in Tacoma on Comcast. I was able to see the entire broadcast. The floor looked much better than when I was there 10 years ago! We had the Gonzaga and the Oregon State games here as well with the Fox Sports package. :D
