Central Ark is beyond bad. HOW IN THE WORLD IS THE SOUTHLAND (yikes I just went bengalhater on all yo' fools catcats) a better conference than the Sky? I wish in the pre-season the Sky could work out a deal with either the Southland, Big West, or WCC (would be sweet) to do sometype of conference matchup. Could possibly help the conference's RPI. Gotta win more OCC games conference wide. Weber's loss to SJSU isn't helping much. Should have won that one.
Oral isn't a bad team. Offensively they move pretty well, but defensively they look fairly soft. They focus more on the fantastical side of the game than on the basics. The Roberts do have a fairly young and inexperienced team. They have been decimated by injuries this season. Next year, when they visit the Dee, they will be a better team than they are now. I'm thinking, if I'm Sutton, I don't play the guys coming back from injury in this game. Not worth the chance of losing a good player for the remaining conference games and their tournament to win a bracketbuster game. He will need all of his players as healthy as possible to finish out the season. Then again, winning the bracket buster might be enough to get some additional post season attention and consideration.
from their forum it seemed as if they had a home game last year too. They were all complaining about bad attendance at their game in 12. Weber would easily have over 8K if Oral was visiting the Dee on Saturday. In all likelihood there will be 8K at the Dee next fall to watch their return trip. Our OCC is shaping up to look pretty good for next season.
