Can anyone explain the targeting call. When I look at it, I see him hitting the guy with his helmet in the thigh area, not the head. Did I miss something?

I think he hit the receiver with the crown of his helmet in his back. No head-to-head contact. A purely bogus call based on Hill's sideline tantrum.

Of course, this justifies the clowns at ejizz crying.

That one was difficult to judge. From one angle it looked as you describe. From another it looked like his head was more to the receivers right side.

Regardless I don’t believe it was intentional.

Of course it wasn't intentional, the Weber player was spinning as Adeoye was going in for the hit/tackle. His head gets across his body if there is no spin. Don't believe anything the ejizzers say, they are just trying to play victim because their team is just an above average team with zero quality wins.

Butthurt Griz fans are STILL posting alleged pics of Gipson out of bounds last week. SMH....

That was two weeks ago you clown

Huge win and all you can post in the game thread is another troll job toward SH? That’s clownish.

So much for your ā€œlast postā€ here. SMH.

You actually have a lot to bring to the table when you talk Hornets football yet nothing to bring at all when you stalk all of SH’s posts. Be better than that, please. This crap is beyond old and tiring…..

Now about today’s big win over a conference rival — you got any thoughts?

So he brings up a game from two weeks ago. Calling it last week in a game thread. You’re ok with that non sequitur but not me pointing it out. Got it. Trying to learn the rules for interacting with the forum mascot/infallible being.

To your point, I tried to leave. I couldn’t delete the account and the moderator doesn’t have the ability to ban people. So. It is what it is. Either someone figures that out or he stops pretending to follow the team by looking at box scores and copying and pasting press releases any of us can read from the athletics website.

Weber game thoughts you asked? Ok. Here we go.

We are seeing lots of teams making defensive adjustments at halftime and we seem to spend a couple possessions finding our identity again. With the complexity of our schemes and our number of weapons available, I don’t see why we always have this 3rd quarter loll.

Elijah Tau-Tolliver seems to constantly be a decoy. At some point, maybe five times a game, give it to our fastest back who is averaging 7.9 yards per carry. Maybe. He’s still learning to block, which I know is Coach Agnew’s number 1 for getting on the field… but he gets on the field. We just don’t give him the ball.

Prince Washington being back was big for the secondary. He had an outstanding game and he’s a more outspoken leader than Marte, who is much more of a lead by example guy.

Our D-Line is banged up and we need to get healthy in a hurry in the next couple weeks. I think that’s the only reason why Adeoye is still on the field. He’s had multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and obviously the two targeting fouls (which the one this week certainly was, whether we want to admit it or not). He is very talented, but I can see how a starter at Texas would fall to us based on his demeanor. His on field conduct is not a fit for TT’s program, and I’m disappointed in him as a representative of the University. I would cut him more slack and probably wouldn’t call him out if he was a young player. But, he graduated HS in ā€˜17 and spent a year at IMG. He’s a college graduate and pursuing a second degree. He’s a man. He needs to bring some positive energy to things and stop the jawing and constant post-play hand fighting and shoving with the opposing O-Line.

Marshel was playing at 75% and still made the games biggest play streaking down the middle of the field. I think we need to shut him down until the playoffs if possible. Keep with the dress and insert if needed scheme we did against Idaho. Coleman Kuntz is proving to be a good pass catcher, Charlie McBride is the unsung hero of Asher’s run game specifically, and Austin Jarrard is obviously still learning the offense (he’s needed help getting in formation a few times considering his amount of snaps) but he’s a big boy with good blocking technique (obviously learned from his Juco head coach, the King of the Hammerheads).

Excellent post. More of this and less focus on SH2.0's nonsense.

For clarification I can ban people if need be, but being a free speech absolutist I don't drop the ban hammer unless someone is threatening violence or is a spam bot. I cannot delete accounts as I don't own this site. It is what it is.

Agree with SD, very good post.

Lots of good points. I fully agree re: Tau-Tolliver, Prince Washington, and Marshel Martin. FWIW, that over-the-shoulder TD reception was an absolute thing of beauty and next-level. Much harder than it looked.

Love the Charlie McBride call-out. He’s a very much an unsung hero (one of many). He’s a great kid I had the privilege of seeing play from youth/HS to the Hornets. Wish he could get a target now and then, but blocking is surely his greatest asset to this team.

Banning is harsh. I completely share your view on free speech.

Once someone proves they shouldn’t be taken seriously and aren’t on the forum for legit discussion, it’s easy to ignore and not engage. This site doesn’t have a ignore/blacklist, but once you see a qualifying handle it’s easy enough to quickly scroll past their content and not give it the time of day.
