Week 11: Southern Utah at Sac State

Great job Hornets, Josh Armstrong getting some pass deflections. Defense looked better last two weeks. Let's give Hornets some praise. We win a game and I see no one on here. Maybe they need our support

Excellent win for Sac State !!! A dominant win over a Southern Utah team that went to the playoffs last year and we lost in overtime a year ago to this same team.

Huge kudos to our Hornet DEFENSE 42-7 in the 4th quarter before the T Birds got two scores to make the score closer and game look closer than it really was.

Watched the game from start to finish accept for a few minutes of house work during which time our Hornets scored touchdowns that I never saw. Our offense is amazing and can indeed score fast. Predicting some players of the week in the Big Sky for Sac State coming up.

Good to see our Hornets of September back again in November.
This shows a lot about this team and wanting to have a successful winning season.

Finish strong Hornets and win again at Hornet Stadium next week against Portland State !!!

Really like to see a big crowd come out for senior day

Go Hornets!!!

Very good win for the Hornets. This is the most complete game they've played all year. D line put pressure on the QB, D line did a good job of stopping the run, and the best part was the d-backs were looking for the ball and knocking passes away! Offense looked much sharper than against Montana (but this was not Montana's defense, either). This is what's so frustrating about this team. We know they have talent but just don't seem to be consistent from game to game.

Let's hope this can continue for the last two games. We could easily win both games or we could easily lose both games.... just depends on which Hornet team shows up.

42-24 Win. Hornets dominated and had a great game all around. Carter broke the single game Hornet record for catches and receiving yards (16 catches, 273 yards) and his 4 TD catches set the single season record for receiving TDs at 15. :notworthy: Safron was on continued to climb up the record books and further increase his mark on other records. Also the OL had a great game as the Hornets were able to find some yards on the ground.

Defensively the Hornets had a bend but don’t break strategy. SUU was able to move the ball a few times but the Hornets put on the clamps and the secondary (mainly Armstrong) has some great plays to stop a few TDs and big plays. DL got pressure, talking was solid, and the Hornets came up with some huge stops (4th an goal early in the 2nd half, a few other turnover on downs forced). SUU got some late TDs but the game was well in hand at that point. Probably the best defensive game of the year.

Special teams held their own. The Hornets went with shorter kickoffs which allowed the coverage team to get down the field and prevent a big return. No blocked PATs either.

If the Hornets play this well the rest of the way they will win out. This team needs to finish strong and this game was a great start.

A winning season is very achievable for this talented Hornet team when they put it all together in all phases of the game as they did yesterday and get better each week.

Go hornets!!

Great effort by the Hornets! They showed a lot of character, came out fired up ready to play after two disappointing games. Let's keep it up and finish strong by winning the last two. Special congrats to De Andre and Garrett for their record breaking performances, amazing!
