Week 12, Causeway Classic: Sac State @ the farm extension

Well, theoretically, K put me in GA for the MSU game, which is all on the visitor's side. But I was able to sweettalk one of the hotties working the stairs to the home side, so I was in the front row at the 50 with the students. That's right about where I like to be when I'm at a Hornet game. Why bother paying bank for the bloody chair-backs when you can be as close as possible to the action? The only way to get closer than the front row is to get a sideline pass, which hasn't happened for me since I held Angus' phone cords.

Really worried that the weather is going to level the playing field on Sat, just like two years ago. We also came into that game 6-4 with the better team but that friggen driving wind and rain made it impossible for either team to do anything offensively. A muffed punt by Sac late in the fourth ended up being the deciding factor.
Ags are gonna be fired up over Biggs last game as well.

FG farm extension. D holds inside the redzone. 6-5 Hornet lead late 1st. D had to adjust to a no huddle hurry up on that drive. They did a poor job from the sound of it.
Hornet drive stalls. Sounds like they are having no problem moving the ball, just can't finish their drives.

Fake punt doesn't get a 1st down. It was 4th and 10. Questionable call at best. So far special teams has been killing us.
Defense forces a 3 and out. Not much blitzing by the Hornets. That worries me.
Another trick play on special teams. A reverse hand off on the punt return gets nothing. Sounds like we are trying to get too cute on special teams and it's not working.
No balance on the offensive play calling. Pretty much everything through the air so far.
Hornets turn it over...nope, knee was down, thank God. Hornet run game is getting nothing. I have a hard time seeing the Hornets pull this off if they can't get the run game going. Hornets forced to punt. Again Hornets drive into opponent territory but the drive stalls.

TD Sac. Safron hits Maciel on 1st and goal. 16-13 Hornets trail 20 seconds left in the half. Huge drive. huge momentum changer.
Kickoff returned for a TD. Wow. DePardo did not have his teams ready. He has failed miserably in this one.

Defense has kept the farm extension offense under wraps. Just an absolute embarrassing performance on special teams. Even more so considering this team is coming off of a bye.

Thanks, but since I can't watch the Sac St game live. I'm watching the CP vs NAU game live on TV. I'm rooting for a CP victory to help out the hornets w/ playoff chances.
Side note rant: It ticks me off that NAU games are broadcast in L.A. via Fox College Sports Pacific, but not Sac St games!!!
