Week 2: Sac State @ Colorado

Sac St to the PAC 13. Scott will call Gonzalez and Wanless on Monday morning with the invite! Leap-frogged SDSU, SJSU and Fresno St! And completely skipped the MWC too!

Bragging rights! None of the other Cal State U's have had back-to-back defeats of PAC 12 foes!

Go hornets!

Unreal. The Pac-12 is our b!tch.  8-)

BTW the Pac 12 Network is worthless. They run regional showings and the WSU-EWU game was on in Seattle, no other games featured on P12N were available.

How key has coach Peterson been!? Holy crap, and Safron... kid deserves props, I was pretty hard on him after last week. Way to go though...

Just a heads-up, SacBuzz members: We already have a sidebar reaction story from Wanless at SacStateSports.com posted and we hope to have our expanded game story up soon. We have lots planned heading into the home opener already.

I'm on it!!! Wooooo!!!

I keep thinking how different things would have been last year if we had Castaneda kicking for us. Can't wait to see if we capitalize on momentum this year. Go Hornets!

I spent most the game following it via ESPN gamecast, but tuned to 93.1 for the final drive. Boy, that last sequence was tough to listen to. By the tone of Jason Ross' voice, I though the kick was missed. But alas he said "GOOOOOOOOOOOD!" I almost couldn't believe it. Admittedly, knowing the Hornets luck AND their kicking situation in recent years, I kind of expected to be disappointed. It's so damn refreshing to see the Hornets win a game due to the kicking game rather than always lose because of it. Props to Edgar Castaneda. What a clutch kick. Props to the Hornets on the whole, who did that they needed to do to pull this off. I'm so freaking happy for this program right now. I just hope they parlay it into a successful season rather than repeat what happened last season.

BTW, for those that have Comcast or Dish Network, they are airing today's game Sunday morning via tape delay (I'm a DirecTV subscriber and won't be able to see it. I'm so bummed out.)

Congrats to coach and players. Way to make us proud! Unbelievable, two PAC schools in two years! Great play calling and the sacks by Avery White were clutch. I am proud to be a Hornet!!!
Odiase is out of the doghouse.

And now our game story is posted at SacStateSports.com
